There are many people who make Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch what it is, and today we’re introducing you to one of the people who has helped steward this special place for more than 20 years. ⁠
⁠
Meet Diana Kapp, one of the four owners of Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch, an award-winning journalist, author, and someone whose love for the Sawtooths runs deep.⁠
⁠
Idaho has become Diana’s home away from home, where you can usually find her hiking, mountain biking, or skiing.⁠
⁠
Over the past five years, Diana has been working on a story very close to her heart. Her newest book, The Last Free Women, co-written with longtime friend and journalist Rebecca Blumenstein, follows the journey of four young Afghan women as they escape Afghanistan and begin rebuilding their lives in America.⁠
⁠
And we’re especially proud that part of the book’s story belongs here, too. Diana and Rebecca spent time writing together at Idaho Rocky, including plenty of breaks to get outside and explore the mountains.⁠
⁠
The Last Free Women arrives September 8, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate Diana and share a little more about the person behind both the book and the Ranch we love. 🤍⁠⁠⁠⁠
