Water Level Update 5.7.26 - We are getting close to normal levels which allow for boats of all sizes to utilizing the launch moving forward. The Shallow Channel Mooring area has enough depth through the first half to allow for pontoons and other smaller boats to start mooring. We continue to encourage all boaters to exercise caution when on the reservoir as there is still a lot of debris floating and moving, especially after a shift in wind direction. As launch conditions are now favorable for all, this will be our last update until the fall drawdown period.

Davis Bridge Boat Launch has also re-opened for the season and is available for use.

The family of Fred Lewins warmly invites all who knew and loved him to join in a Celebration of Life and Remembrance this Saturday, May 9th, at Rambadt Park in Reed City. The event is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm.

This gathering is a time to come together, share memories, and honor Fred’s life. Family and friends hope you can join them in remembrance and in celebrating the positive impact he had on so many others.

With a heavy heart, the Mecosta County Parks would like to inform Brower Park visitors that one of our long term park rangers passed away on Sunday, February 8th. Fred dedicated over 10 summers working with us at Brower Park. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, co-workers and visitors to the park. Our hearts go out to the Lewins family during this difficult time.

Water Level Update 4.29.26 - There is now 32 feet of ramp below the water line with approximately 44 inches of depth at the end of the ramps. Pontoons and Fishing boats of all sizes should have no issues utilizing the launch moving forward. We continue to encourage all boaters to exercise caution when on the reservoir as there is still a lot of debris floating and moving down river.

Tomorrow is OPENING DAY for the campground!!! We look forward to welcoming everyone back starting tomorrow morning. Seasonal Campers that want to be here when the gates open are encouraged to be in line by 7:30 am at the latest. The park officially opens at 8:00 am for the season.

Water Level Update 4.23.26 - Currently we have 30 feet of ramp below the water line with approximately 40 inches of depth at the end of the ramps. We encourage all boaters use extreme caution when traveling on the reservoir due to all of the floating debris. The shallow water channel mooring area is not quite up high enough for boats to tie-up, but it won't be much longer 🙂

Water Level Update 4.20.26 - The water level has come up substantially from last week, however with all of the flooding on the Muskegon River, the water is very dirty with a lot of debris moving throughout the reservoir. Currently we have 25 feet of ramp below the water line with approximately 36 inches of depth at the end of the ramps. The water clarity did not allow for us to get an exact depth measurement. We encourage all boaters to wait until water clarity improves before launching and to use extra caution when traveling on the reservoir due to all of the floating debris. The campground within the park is schedule to open this Friday for the season!
