Summer sure went fast, it's been a roller coaster of weather, but thankfully we have missed anything extreme.

The wedding tent held guests from all over Minnesota celebrating a beautiful wedding.
This was our first "formal wedding" held at Little Moran, a great learning curve. There were campers staying in the campground, the BnB was home for the wedding party and kitchen used by the caters.

Our VRBO/BnB has been full since Memorial Day "25" and now we are closing in on our last group over Labor Day. What a wonderful group of guests we have had. Thank you for being so respectful and courteous. We hope you will stay with us again.

Our Story

A country getaway where the peacefulness of wildlife and country living will revitalize the soul. Miles of groomed hiking/biking and hay ride trails crisscross the property overlooking the Little Moran Creek. The sounds of far away geese, sandhill cranes, a drumming ruffed grouse, grazing deer and turkey on the neighboring fields and ducks on the “Wind Mill Pond”. It’s peace and solitude.

We became part of VRBO in 2018 hosting many families from all over the country, the numbers were staggering, however it had it’s draw backs as well. That said, we are opening up Moran Creek on our own for group stays, family gatherings, if it’s a peaceful setting and solitude you seek, look no further than Moran Creek Lodge.

Locally there is much to offer. The Crow Wing River, only 9 miles from the lodge offers beautiful canoeing and tubing day trips, Great golf courses, Amish goods, flea markets and lots of local lakes for those who fish.

Little Moran began as a game farm where guided pheasant hunts were the hub of the farm. Being a dog trainer, Steve’s English Setters had an incredible way of hunting ruffed grouse and woodcock, leading to the Double Gun Bird Hunts in 1987. The grouse hunters came from every corner of the country and still do today. The pheasant shooting is no more, however the farm is rich with stories and memorabilia of the early days of Little Moran and the present history of so many wonderful people.
