Because sometimes a conversation happens on a dock that never would have happened across a desk.

Sometimes a child discovers courage halfway up a climbing wall.

Sometimes strangers become friends around a table.

Sometimes worship feels different beneath a canopy of trees.

And sometimes getting away from our normal routines creates just enough space to hear what God has been saying all along.

That’s the gift of places like Montgomery.

Some days God sends you on unexpected journeys. Sunday was one of those days for our director, with a very last minute change of plans. It was a joy to worship with the faithful at Williston Presbyterian. Thank you for your warm welcome, your prayers, and your support. God knew exactly what I needed in the music and words spoken in worship that day.🙏🙌

Bonus: the journey took me on my favorite road in all of North Florida, CR 320, passing the historic Cracker Houses of Shiloh. Grateful for God's little blessings.🥰

The Presbytery of St. Augustine Youth Team is bringing the Fall Youth Retreat back to Montgomery Center, October 16–18.

This year’s theme is “Just As I Am,” and we’re looking forward to a weekend of worship, community, fun, and time together at camp.

Summer camp gets a lot of attention around here — and we love it! — but Montgomery is a year-round ministry.

As summer gives way to fall, these grounds continue welcoming churches, schools, retreat groups, scouts, families, and organizations looking for a place to gather, learn, worship, play, rest, and reconnect.

Different groups. Different reasons for coming.

The same 167 acres set aside for hospitality, community, and renewal.

🧩 An unfinished puzzle still sits in the Lounge.

It reminds us of the hours campers and staff spent around the table this summer—talking, laughing, solving problems, and sharing the joys and concerns of each day.

Not everyone approached the puzzle the same way. Some started with the edges. Others sorted colors and built outward.

Different approaches. Same table. Same puzzle.

Maybe ministry looks a little like that.

We each bring different gifts, experiences, and ways of seeing the picture. We may not always understand where every piece belongs, but we can keep showing up, making room for one another, and trusting that God is still bringing the picture together.

Join Presbyterian Women at Montgomery for the Fall Retreat and Bible Study Kick-off!

⏰ 8:30 a.m.–2:15 p.m.

Together, participants will explore Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth and its timeless message of loving unity through Christ. The day will include fellowship, Bible study, table conversations, lunch, a hands-on service project, worship, and communion.

The service project will help Montgomery replenish supplies used during summer camp by assembling first-aid and art kits. Participants are encouraged to bring items such as bandages, sunscreen or insect-repellent wipes, tie-dye supplies, children’s scissors, colored pencils, stickers, colored paper, and puzzles with 500 pieces or more.

Advance registration has closed, but you may register and pay in person.
