Our board is all Deaf and there are various organizations that use our property such as Youth Leadership Camp (YLC) and World Deaf Timberfest (WDT). Family reunions and other programs use Camp Taloali all year around.

Gary signing, “In 1996, a huge flood impacted this old bridge, *Gary pointed at the old bridge* made it very vulnerable. This is the only way into camp and a temporary bridge built with 3 culverts. It was not ideally designed right. It could not handle severe flooding. In December 2025, another big flood wiped 3/4 of this bridge. Once again, it was filled with gravel, it is temporary. We need to change to a permanent well-built bridge across.”
