Life is bringing many positive changes my way which has made way for a new season! I’m so excited to march forward with what God has planned for me. With all that being said, I will no longer be running the campground here and I will be selling the entire business as a whole. I’ve been open just a little over 5 years now and it’s been a great run, but I’m ready to pass the torch to someone else. Business has been very good since I’ve opened and it’s unique to the area. It’s a very good opportunity to start something new for yourself! I’m asking only $15k for all four sites, which could easily be made back in just your first season! It comes with everything you need to get started! All of the buildings, to the indoor/outdoor furniture, camping gear, kayaks, showers, electronics, generators and more! The dome set up alone is worth that price and you’ll get all four sites, what a deal! I’ll even include the name which has carried an impeccable reputation since I’ve been in business. ✝️Women’s Fasting & Prayer Retreat 🙏🏻

Admission is FREE but reservations are still required.

🏕️We have 4 main sites, each with a queen bed. Extra tents and air mattresses are more than welcome. Once spots are filled in our sites, that will be the only option for lodging.

📵The fasting portion of this retreat will be from cell phones, not food. So I encourage all attendees to plan on bringing a dish so we can share and have a wonderful dinner together! Water, snacks and s’mores will be provided.

Life has been different the last 5 months for my family and I, in a positive way, so I’m going to take a chance at trying something new with my business!
I am planning a Women’s Prayer & Fasting Retreat in June. Not sure if I want to make it a night or a weekend long event. However, I do know that I want to make it a free event. So in order to make that happen, I need to really plan ahead of time with the women who would like to join. I just wanted to put feelers out there and see how many women would be interested? This will be a Christian based event, with Bible readings, sharing testimonies, and other faith related activities surrounding and glorifying our Savior. All are welcome, even if you don’t know Jesus, this could be your chance to learn a little more and meet people who do know Him!🙏🏻

I am looking to hire a reliable cleaning person for the campground. Offering $50 per site. The tent sites take about an hour each and the dome takes about an hour and a half to clean. The job will be mostly weekends, and occasionally a day or two during the week. Checkout time is 10am and check in is 4pm so it would have to get done within that timeframe. The campground is located in Stephenson, MI. If you are interested please message me so we can set up a time for an interview!

Ouch 😣 our first 1-star review from a sorry to say, spiteful guest. Mind you this guest was penalized from Airbnb because she really messed up the site she was staying in and she had to pay for damages. Then she writes this review…I truly don’t know what to think about this review. I’m baffled. I can’t just allow people to ruin my stuff without paying for it in fear of someone leaving a bad review. I cannot take losses like that, I shouldn’t have to, and in return this is what happens; a retaliatory review. A spiteful move that can and has damaged my host rating, which I’ve worked so hard for.

I’m not here to complain, I’m here to explain this guest’s terrible review for us and maybe get some helpful feedback. I’d like thoughts and opinions on this. Maybe I’m wrong and maybe I should do more?

We’re located in the woods, I cannot control wildlife. I do however warn guests about wildlife, and try to prevent contact with them as much as I can. I do everything I can as a host to keep it as safe as I can for my guests. I also need help from my guests to make this happen. This particular guest did not follow my rules and directions and left food out everywhere and did not take the garbage out, then wants to complain about wildlife even though her actions could have attracted them.
I do not provide bear spray, or a gun for my guests because that’s not my responsibility. Those are weapons and I cannot be responsible for leaving those around unattended for anyone to handle. I believe it’s the guests responsibility to bring that type of protection knowing they are going camping, even if it’s Glamping. It’s still in the woods and going into that, it’s the guest’s responsibility to plan for those types of things.
I do provide wood, one bundle for free and the rest is $5 a bundle. It’s not my responsibility to provide free firewood at all, but I do anyway. I also make sure that it’s available to them in a nearby woodshed.
The “wolves” that she’s talking about are in fact a pack of coyotes, and guests have mentioned how they loved hearing them howl. There’s an owl that loves to hoot, who lives in a nearby tree as well. If you enjoy camping and nature these things should be understandable and enjoyable to hear.
We receive excellent reviews and come highly recommended by our guests. We will continue to offer excellent service and quality getaways for our guests, regardless of this awful, unfair review. 😊

Just a friendly reminder that our campground is private and not open to the public. Only guests with reservations may enter the campground. We want our guests to have a private and safe experience with us and if people are coming and going as they please they will not get that experience. We appreciate your cooperation, thank you!
