Update, as the water keeps cooling down we are seeing more and more walleye and sauger. Mainly on hair jigs tipped with minnows and a few just on minnows. Bluegill still around and even a couple perch

Dean here,
Well Fall is settling in and the weather and the river are cooling down. We need to have the water drop another 7 to 10 degrees and the fish will really start feeding more. The Bluegills limits are still coming in. The reports on the Perch are a lot of smalls to keep a few bigs. The Walleye have been getting caught off of the Barges the last 2 weeks but not a lot of numbers yet. Pool 8 is at 4.9' and looks to stay that way. Genoa water temp is around 63 degrees. We have a beutiful week coming at us. Get out and enjoy the beauty off the Mississippi Valley. We are so lucky to be in such a beautiful part of this earth.

Dean here,
Well we have a beutiful day here. This week there were a lot of gills getting caught. The rain changed the river a bit here for a day or 2. The river only went up a foot and that will balance out by the end of the week. POOL 8 is a 5.8' today and the water temp dropped almost 10 deg. this week Genoa dam reporting 68 deg.. There are some decent Perch coming in finnaly! Fish are slipping into Fall mode. Getting hungry. Get out if you are able.
