🐻 A reminder that the wild is still very much a part of Vermont.
Our property borders both the river and the forest, which means we get to enjoy the incredible beauty of nature right outside our doors including the occasional wildlife sighting.
While seeing a black bear can be an unforgettable experience, it’s important to remember that we are visitors in their habitat.
If you spot a bear or other wildlife:
🌲 Keep your distance and admire from afar
🐾 Never approach or attempt to get close for a photo or video
🔊 Make your presence known if needed and give the animal space to move along
🐕 Keep pets leashed and close by when exploring
🥾 Avoid leaving food waste or anything that could attract wildlife
The safest and most respectful wildlife encounters are the ones where we allow animals to remain wild. Thank you for helping us protect the natural beauty that makes this place so special. 💚
