Yipee!!! This weekend is the 13th annual Strawberry Festival and you know what that means. Lots and Lots of fresh strawberries, need I say more? Ladies looking for something to do this month? Why not venture out to a "Tea". A Lavender Tea hosted by Magnolia Manor and Garver House B&B. Come and relax for a few hours, share some laughs with your friends, sisters, mom, cousins. A good time is had by all at our teas.
Friday March 31st and April 1st at 1:00 pm at the Magnolia Manor. Enjoy Lavender savories, lavender desserts, lavender tea. You will be amazed what can be done with lavender and how yummy it tastes. At the end of the tea you will have the opportunity to make a lavender inspired craft. Have no fear if you are all thumbs when it comes to crafts we make it easy and we never let anyone leave with an unfinished craft (we will assist you)!

Baby its cold outside!! Needing a winter get-away? The Garver House Bed and Breakfast has three beautiful rooms that are warm and cozy. Two of the rooms; the Strasburg Suite and Fort Laurens room have beautiful electric fireplaces. There are numerous activities, wineries, museums, and restaurants in the area that are open all year. November 11th is Veterans Day and as we have for the past 4 years we will offer a free nights stay to a veteran and their guest. Two rooms are available for Wednesday November 11th as a thank you to all veterans for their service to our country. A big thank you to my Dad, Korean war, my father-in-law, WWII and my husband, Vietnam. Al and I only ask that if you were treated to a free night in years past please allow another vet to have a night this year. Proof of military service is expected. The Garver House has set dates for their Harvest Tea and Christmas Tea. Harvest Tea is Saturday September 26th at 1 pm. Christmas Tea is Saturday December 5th at 1 pm. A full three course lunch will be served along with a 2-3 tea selections. As in the past a quick and easy seasonal craft will be taught after lunch. The Harvest Tea craft will be an adorable pumpkin that can be used as a fall decoration in your home (see picture). I promise it is easy and you can easily take home the pattern an make more!
