One of the many activities held during the Stratton Festival is BINGO at Grandview. Larry Unruh, Director works tirelessly to gather donated prizes from area business's this years Thank you's go to ACE Hardware, Stratton Country Market, Mead Lumber, MNB Bank, Hitch & Hay Public Transit, Several Private donors, and a few more if we didn't mention you directly know your generosity does not go unnoticed! Larry also spends his afternoon setting up and putting away the varies methods we use for calling the BINGO Numbers.... Mary Dabrowski of Benkelman one of the many BINGO Prize winners was quite surprised at her first BINGO!! If you are interested in donating a Prize for BINGO for next September let us know we would pick it up!

If you are a Benkelman/Dundy County Resident who has been affected by the Discontinuation of the Benkelman Handi Bus, Call Hitch & Hay Public Transit we can help. We will be soon opening up a van to be present IN the Community within a few weeks, but if you need a ride sooner please call us to get on the schedule!! Stay tuned or watch for our signature Donkey and Cart!

***UPDATE*** - We received a wonderful New Years Surprise this morning a very generous donation came in that bumped us up to almost $15,000 towards our Project Goal!!!! We do have another Chicken Dinner this Sunday (get your reservations in fast) with the proceeds of this going towards our fund. Stay Tuned for future updates as we work to reach our goal..

"We are excited to announce that we have been working with the Dundy County Hospital and Clinic to improve the Stratton Medical Clinic. Our task in the project is to create a Handicap accessible parking lot, ramp and entrance to better provide the Clinic patrons access to the soon to be completed renovated Clinic in the East Wing of the Grandview Community and Events Center here in Stratton.
That said we have reached out to our local concrete experts and gravel handlers and they have given us a number that we are in NEED of your help to reach. As you know, we have been hosting Chicken Dinners twice a month for the community and surrounding areas, we also host several events including but not limited to morning coffee, FROGS three days a week, AA Thursday evenings, monthly Community Meals, we have been host to Retirement parties, Birthday parties, Holiday parties and events, and much much more. The funds that we receive from the free will donation of hosted events and proceeds from the Chicken Dinners have been earmarked to be directed to the new Driveway fund, including $1000 from the Vending Machine Larry keeps stocked in the Dining room, we have the first 10% of our goal reached. We need a significant amount more to make this project a success. If you have some stray pennies under the bed or quarters in the couch cushions we have a can that sure could give them a home.. Big or small anything counts. If you have questions please feel free to reach out to us!"
