The Smith Creek Village locale of Silver Falls State Park has long been one of Oregon’s favorite places to meet and gather with loved ones and colleagues, and is a space that holds long-standing memories + nostalgia for many people of Oregon. Formerly the Silver Falls Lodge and Conference Center, the historic buildings and services were closed after a series of unfortunate events in 2020 + an enti
re pandemic, ending in a change in concessions operations + management. After a lengthy and unsure season, in early May of 2021, a new contract was awarded by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department to Silver Falls Hospitality, a local small business + team of innovative and dedicated workers. From the outset, our mission at Silver Falls Hospitality has been to learn firsthand from the very nature of the wilderness, and directly from those who have been stewards of the land before us. As a small business and as a blossoming cohort of creatives and boots-on-the-ground team, we aim to convey the resilience that we have gained & continuously learned from, and instill those values into the hearts and minds of the sojourners, friends, locals, and families that we are honored to host.Just 35 minutes east of Oregon's capital, Salem, 1.5 hours south of Portland International Airport and 20 minutes south of Silverton, Silver Falls State Park is the ideal staycation. It's easily accessible, yet sufficiently secluded to allow for productive + organized meetings, intimate gatherings, and restorative unplugged outings.Best known for its many waterfalls, Silver Falls State Park features 35 miles of trails, including the renowned Trail of Ten Falls, a National Recreation Trail.
