Oak Haven Bed & Breakfast

Oak Haven Bed & Breakfast Our Bed & Breakfast is A Haven away from the hustle of busy life nestled in the lush Ohio countryside.

Slow down and relax in this beautiful valley with scenic views in every direction. Breathe in the slower pace of the corn fields, the autumn colors, weathered barns, cows grazing in the green fields, or an Amish horse and Buggy passing by. Sit on the front porch and count fire flies or swing under the ancient Oak Tree for which Oak Haven was named.

Welcome our new member to the Oak Haven family. I've been told he is a Barred Plymouth Rock, so his name is "Rocky."

PART NINE: Finally we (my daughter Alena Thomas Morris and I) took pictures with everyone. First is with Galadriel and her husband Kevin Joy (who plays her love interest in the movie) and Denise and her daughter who will be playing the Amish mother and daughter in the film. Then we are with the Producer Chevonne O'Shaughnessy, Director Sandra Martin and Director of Photography Issac Alongi. ALL OF THEM were super friendly and a delight to work with. I hope they feel the same way about us.

PART EIGHT: Here are some extra shots. Gathering around the kitchen table between takes, an outside view from the road, catered lunch on the front lawn and the Sun Room full of equipment.

PART SEVEN: Tuesday was spent in the Raspberry room. Lots of scenes with Cheryl and Beau. The director had her monitor in the bathroom. They said we could be upstairs with them if we wanted but would have to be REALLY still since the floors creak so much.

PART SIX: Here is another shot through the kitchen window. This scene was her at the table and the back porch was taken over with lights and equipment. They also draped black curtains to make it dark for night time. There are many other views in the kitchen, but I didn't take pictures of them all. Be sure to look for the picture of my granddaughter Anna on the shelves behind her when you see the movie. We secretly placed it there before the crew arrived but ended up telling the Director of photography and he made sure it was in the shot.

PART FIVE: The next scenes were all in the kitchen. Cameras were set up in the Sun Room. Aunt Mitzi calls as "Cheryl" comes in. The lady that plays Aunt Mitzi was located in Tennessee and just did face time while they recorded.

PART FOUR: We got to sit with the producer and watch the filming. It was fun to see what it would look like in the movie. Here you can see where they show her on the front porch before she enters. She takes a key from under the mat so the angle is really low and then the lock is shown as she unlocks the door. The next set is showing the point of view of Beau the cat before he runs down to meet her.

PART THREE: The next scene is our star Galadriel Joy playing “Cheryl Cooper” arriving at her Aunt Mitzi’s house – aka Oak Haven – and greeting Beau the Cat. Here she is talking to the Director after getting her hair and makeup done in the Lighthouse Room. The Garden Room was taken over with Cameras to get the shot and a light was posted outside the living Room window to get the correct lighting.

PART TWO: The first scene they filmed was "Beau the Cat" coming down the stairs. They brought a cat from the local shelter and he turned out to be a natural! Everyone was amazed at how easy he was to work with. They probably carried him to the top of the stairs 12 times and he never got upset. He was super friendly with everyone and wasn't skittish at all even though he was just brought into a strange house with a ton of people and a little bit of chaos. He continued to amaze everyone throughout the other scenes so much that they are adding him to other parts later in the movie. He stayed overnight with us on Monday and slept with my daughter Alena Thomas Morris who is visiting. He was very affectionate and well behaved. Everyone on set is trying to find him a home so he doesn't have to go back to the shelter. Anyone want to adopt a soon to be famous movie star cat???
