Core Responsibilities & Duties
• Cleaning and Sanitization:
• Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors, furniture, and hard surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms (toilets, showers, tubs, and sinks) using appropriate chemical products.
• Sanitize kitchens, appliances, and common areas.
• Linens and Laundry:
• Strip, change, and make beds with fresh linens.
• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry (including clothes, towels, and uniforms).
• Supplies and Waste Management:
• Empty wastebaskets, replace trash liners, and dispose of garbage properly.
• Replenish guest or household supplies (toiletries, paper goods, towels, and cleaning products).
• Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies.
• Reporting and Maintenance:
• Inspect rooms or properties for damage, broken fixtures, or safety hazards and report them to management or owners.
• Log and handle lost-and-found items.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred); prior professional cleaning or hospitality experience is typically required.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift/carry heavy cleaning equipment or items (often up to 25–50 lbs) throughout a shift.
• Knowledge & Competencies:
• Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and heavy machinery (vacuums, floor buffers, extractors).
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Discretion, trustworthiness, and professional interpersonal/communication skills.
