From July 17 to August 24, the Earth passes through the dust trail of Comet Swift–Tuttle, creating one of the brightest and most reliable meteor showers of the year — the Perseids.

This year’s show promises golden meteors streaking across the night sky, especially after midnight when the sky is darkest. 🌠

When the kids are out of school, it’s a great time to go to Sunriver. Indoor pool still open at the SHARC. Game room is amazing and don’t forget the Hot Tub. Great place to get away while your college football team is out of town. Watch the game but have fun family and/or friend time before or after. Prices are much lower too. Come on and book a get away.

Friday, northbound traffic along Highway 97 will be moved to the new stretch of the parkway. The new onramps from Empire Avenue and Cooley Road will open.
