Over the last few years, we have had the privilege of donating a weekend stay to deserving families. This is always a rewarding experience for the recipient and for our family. We are looking forward to hosting another family this year.

Have you or someone you know had a hard year? If a little beach therapy would heal the soul, please send Tranquility Base a private message. We will host a family in February for three nights (per availability) for a charity stay. The only requirement is to pay the cleaning and supplies fee of $200 prior to arrival.

House rules include: must be 25 years old, no pets (no exceptions), no smoking, no events, no more than 17 people in the house day or night, no more than 8 cars in the driveway.

I have no doubt in my mind that we had angels wrapping their arms around Tranquility Base during Hurricane Beryl. The damage to so many homes in Surfside is hard to stomach. Several without roofs and siding, among other damage.

We are very fortunate that Tranquility Base has very little damage. The walkover to the beach will need to be repaired. The 97 mph winds took our outdoor shower and small damage to a window trim. It’s all just things that can be replaced and will take time. Please be patient with us as we line up contractors to get items addressed!

Our past renters and future renters have been nothing short of amazing, compassionate and understanding. My phone has not stopped ringing the past two days with kind words and support.

Our neighbors in Surfside, cleaning crew and handyman have shown up for us and are helping to get us back in business. They are our heroes!

We were finally able to open the front door today to check for damages inside and all is good!

Cleanup is in progress and services are slowly being restored. We will back in business soon!

We thank you again for your kindness and continued support. We really love our home and the people we get to share it with! Thank you for making Tranquillity Base such a special place.

In June this awesome family completed their 7th summer family vacation at Tranquility Base! We are so thankful for the Kraemer’s continued support each year 🩷 They truly love our home as much as we do and are always willing to lend a hand. We appreciate y’all so much!

We have so many caring people reaching out about the storm today. We appreciate all the thoughts as we wait out Beryl.

Please note that during Tropical Storm Alberto, Tranquility Base did not have damage. No water was under our home and the roads were open on our end of town on Bluewater Hwy. The news clips and pictures you might have seen are from the pedestrian side of town. Our dunes did their job and protected our home. The sand fencing will need to be fixed in a few spots, but we are happy to report no damage to our home. The beach is open and clean.

Tranquillity Base received a glow up over the past few weeks! New sub floor, insulation, protective barrier and flooring 🙌 We are so happy with the outcome!

When your kids are swimming on a busy beach day in Surfside, and they come out of the water, it can be very confusing as to where your canopy is set up.
On our 4 miles of Surfside Beach, we have markers lettered A through Z.
Teach the kiddos to look for the marker that you are close to when they come out of the water, so they can find you easier.

With spring break starting this coming weekend, we want to remind everyone of Surfside Beach rules.
You can purchase Beach permits either at one of the beach booths starting this weekend, or after hours at Circle K.
