Operation of Golf Carts within the Town of Surfside Beach

The Town of Surfside Beach reminds residents and visitors of the regulations regarding the operation of golf carts within town limits:
✅ Year-Round & Nighttime Operation
Golf carts are permitted to operate year-round and at night ONLY if they are permanently equipped with working headlights and taillights.
⚠️ Daytime-Only Operation
Golf carts without permanently equipped headlights and taillights may only operate from 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset.
👧 Passenger Safety
Children under 12 years of age must always be secured in a seat belt while riding in a golf cart.
🚓 Enforcement
All state golf cart laws will be strictly enforced within the Town of Surfside Beach.

Join us as we say goodbye to summer in true Surfside Beach style—with an epic night of live music, family fun, and fireworks off the pier for the first time in NINE years!

What to Know Before You Go! 🌊🎆
To help everyone enjoy the event safely and smoothly, please review the following important updates:
🚫 Pier Parking Lot Closure
The pier parking lot will be closed from 5:00 a.m. until the end of the event.
🚧 Pier Access
For safety reasons, the pier (from the gate to the end) will be closed starting at 5:00 a.m. and will remain closed for the duration of the event. Chairs are not allowed on the pier platform during this event.
Businesses on the pier platform will remain open starting at 8:00 a.m.
🏖 Beach Access & Viewing
Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the beach will be closed from the 5th house north of River City Café to Scotty’s Beach Bar.
Designated viewing areas will be available on the beach at the pier for those bringing chairs.
Access the beach viewing area via the Pier Parking Lot Beach Access next to River City Café.
🅿️ Parking Information
Tito’s Trolley will be picking up and dropping off at every public parking lot. This is a free service from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
