We’re excited to welcome residents back to the Sonoran Plaza ballroom! 🎉

After months of planning, collaboration and construction, we’re thrilled to be hosting events in this newly enhanced space. On Aug. 3, we celebrated the completion of the $1.6 million Sonoran Plaza A/V & Lighting Project at our Reveal Ceremony, and had a great time showcasing the incredible outcome with live music from Western Bred.

With upgraded sound, high-definition visuals, theatrical lighting, presentation technology, live captioning and more, the ballroom is ready to support memorable events for years to come.

We’re looking forward to seeing you in Sonoran Plaza! ✨

The Grand had the privilege of supporting a truly remarkable milestone.

Happy 100th birthday to one of our residents, John M., a World War II Marine and American hero.

To honor his service and century of life, David Samaniego and VFW Post 285 Surprise AZ organized a special celebration, bringing together veterans, first responders, community organizations and neighbors to honor his incredible legacy.

A heartfelt thank you for coordinating this meaningful tribute, and to everyone who participated, including City of Surprise Mayor Kevin Sartor, the Surprise Police Department, Surprise Fire-Medical Department, Mission BBQ, local military organizations and the many community members who came together to show their appreciation.

John: Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your example. We are honored to have you as part of The Grand community. Happy 100th birthday!

Last week we welcomed a string quartet from the Phoenix Symphony to The Grand for two sold-out performances. With both shows selling out weeks in advance, it was clear there was tremendous excitement for this special event.

A sincere thank you to The Phoenix Symphony for partnering with us and helping bring this new experience to our community.

Opportunities like these are part of what makes life at The Grand so unique. From live entertainment and special events to clubs, fitness, and lifelong learning, there is always something happening here.

Today, we gathered at The Grand’s Veterans Monument to honor and remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Thank you to our Armed Forces Support Group for presenting this morning’s meaningful Memorial Day ceremony and to all who attended in remembrance and reflection.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor those who never came home, as well as the families and loved ones who carry their memory forward. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸
