🧑‍🍳🥘🍳COOKING CLASSES🧑‍🍳🍳🥘

October soon will be here, and Embla will sponsor another round of three (3) Cooking Classes. Each of our classes has an audience of about 35 – 45 members and guests. If you have not had the opportunity to attend, please do.

And…if you have a few hours to spare, please consider being a
demonstrator. We only need 9 -10 ready, willing, and able members for
fall, and again for spring. It’s fun, it’s easy, and it really helps Embla
present one of its most treasured traditions.

The October dates are Tuesday, the 10th, Thursday, the 19th, and Saturday, the 28th. We start at 10:00 am and finish by about 12:00.

Demonstrators arrive by 9:00, help clean-up and are finished by about 12:30.

Embla Lodge #2 sisters made 220 rounds of Norwegian Lompe yesterday.
They will be sold at PLU's upcoming Norwegian Festival, Sat., April 29th.

This morning, at our March gathering, ~45 Embla Lodge members were served a delicious brunch. Thank you hostesses Karen K., Karen C., Linda M., Kate F., Lynn C., & Teresa J.
During the meeting, 7 new members were initiated. Welcome new members - Charlotte S., Abigail B., Shannah R., Crystal, Jane H., Lisa C., & Jo H.

Daughters of Norway, Embla Lodge #2, meets the first Saturday of each month at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 101 East 38th Street, Tacoma, Washington 98404.

The doors will open at 8:45am for refreshments, cultural information, and meeting.

Norwegian Cooking classes are back! Daughters of Norway, Embla lodge #2 cooking classes will RESUME in March 2023.

Classes will be March 7th, March 16th and March 25th in the Scandinavian Cultural Center at Pacific Lutheran University.

The time will be 10am-12noon. The cost is $5/ person.

We are looking forward to seeing you ALL back at our cooking classes and are busy selecting recipes for ALL your Norwegian appetites.

You will each receive a copy of ALL the recipes, and you'll get to taste each one too. 🥰

We will also have a sampling of our Embla crafts/sales items at each class.
