We have a complementary stamped post card at the front desk and we'll even mail it out for you when you stay at the Hootie. This week a family from the Netherlands filled one out and left it for me to mail out not knowing a special international stamp was needed for it to be delivered to Europe. Rather than say saying it won't make it I got international stamps. Little things matter here at Hootie Creek, and we believe extra work or money spent is worth it if it brings a smile or builds a happy memory. Pic #3 is a note from a Russian / German couple I spent a little time with while checking them in one evening.

We are very proud to announce Hootie Creek is now running 100% on solar, in fact we are consuming less than 50% of our electrical harvest and now feeding back into the grid to power our neighbors. We have 89 new technology DOUBLE SIDED panels and over 80% of this system was MADE IN THE USA! Solar has gotten very expensive but our futures are priceless. We use an electric mower around the hotel and also have recycling containers in the hotel. So turn down that ac in the summer, heat up in the winter, nice hot shower, whatever because we are now an energy producing asset.
