I need some help from this community.
We want to sell about 30 acres at J19 Adventure Park in Talking Rock. On the map attached, it is the parcel outlined in yellow. It sits on the Highway 515 side of the property. It is zoned commercial, and there are no utilities on it.
The reason is simple. We want to pay down the mortgage on the land so J19 Adventure Park can stand on its own and keep going. The trails, the creek, the families who come ride. That is what we are trying to protect.
We would not be interested in selling to a residential housing venture. Whoever buys this will be our neighbor for a long time, and we want that to be someone who understands the land and will be a good neighbor to an adventure park. If you know a buyer with real development or subdividing experience, someone who can look at a commercial 30 acres with no utilities and see what it can become, please send them this. Or send them to me.
We could also use help from anyone who has been through a rezoning. If you have done it around Talking Rock, Jasper, or Pickens County, tell us what the process actually looked like. A name, a step we should not skip, anything you wish you had known at the start.
