3 years of 3am alarm clocks. Lots of time and ALOT of patience.
Heard him gobble once at atleast 300 yards away made a few calls sat there for a while (was about to give up and leave) and he came in quiet. Killed at 8:30 AM yesterday 💥

A state record 468-pound black bear was hit and killed by a vehicle in Mississippi. This happened in 2017 on U.S. 61 in Wilkinson County, when a driver slammed into the bear near Natchez and somehow walked away without serious injuries. Most people do not think of Mississippi when they think of giant black bears, but this one was bigger than a lot of bears people travel across the country to hunt. The state planned to preserve it and use it for education, which is at least better than letting an animal like that go to waste.
