WHO KNEW THE ADVENTURE WOULD START BEFORE WE EVEN BOARDED THE 2102?! 🇺🇸❤️

August 22nd was already shaping up to be an unforgettable day BEFORE we climbed aboard the legendary 2102 for the Great Pittston Tomato Festival! 🍅🚂

And then… a proposal happened! 💍❤️

As we were pulling into the Nesquehoning Station, we happened to witness a marriage proposal happening right in front of the locomotive! And YES… SHE SAID YES! 🥹💍🎉 Talk about a picture-perfect moment!

Then came more pre-boarding fun…

👋 We met Nate! One of our followers who recognized Owner Carolee from social media. We absolutely LOVE meeting the people who follow along with our adventures!

🇺🇸 Owner Carolee climbed aboard the 2102 to install the American Flag! Because what better way to start a railroad adventure than with Old Glory flying proudly from the locomotive?

⭐ And then came the Reading & Northern celebrity sightings!

Can you spot Owner Carolee? Spaghetti eating contest is officially checked off her bucket list thanks to Pittston Tomato Festival.

🚂🇺🇸 What a Day on the 2102! 🇺🇸🍅

What an incredible adventure for Owner Carolee! She had the honor of helping place the American Flags on the 2102 this morning before climbing aboard for her FIRST-EVER 2102 Steam Train excursion from Nesquehoning to Pittston for the FAMOUS Pittston Tomato Festival! 🚂❤️

And let’s just say… Carolee didn’t just attend the festival — she became part of the action! 😂🍝 She even jumped into this year’s Spaghetti Eating Contest! 🍝🏆

There was SO much to see, eat and enjoy — amazing food vendors, tomato-themed gifts, live music, and even an absolutely adorable Newfoundland puppy that stole some of the spotlight! 🐕🍅🎶

After a full day of fun, as predicted, Carolee managed to sneak in a little nap on the ride home. 😴🚂

But then came the BIG surprise…

She was invited to ride in the Owner’s Car! 😲✨

WHAT A TREAT! Talk about ending an already unforgettable day in style!

This was one steam train adventure Owner Carolee won't soon forget. ❤️🚂
