Williams Lake and Wheeler Peak trails are closed this week, but there are plenty of beautiful hikes in Taos Ski Valley you may not have tried... Long Canyon to Gold Hill? Yerba Canyon to Lobo Peak? Giddy'ap!

Please be aware that the US Forest Service will close portions of the Bull of the Woods, Lost Lake, Williams Lake and Wheeler Peak trails August 21 - 27 for tribal traditions and cultural purposes. For more information please visit the Carson National Forest website.

What an eventful weather day yesterday in Snowbear's neighborhood at Taos Ski Valley. From sun and clouds and wind, to snow, and back to sun, you can see the newly white peaks from the Rio Hondo Learning Center looking up Rueggli lift.
