So here's the deal. The grounds crew are doing their best to get the place all spiffed up for Fiber Crawl at Winter's Hope Alpaca Ranch. The dogs are busy guarding everything. I'm spinning as fast as I can. All we need is for you to show up May 05/17-19 10 - 5. Did you know:
Alpacas are one of the "greenest" livestock species? Why might that be? Each foot has two padded toes with nails, not hooves.They do not damage the ground they walk on. They eat only the green part of hay/grass.They do not damage the roots, so pastures don't have to be re-seeded every year. They are the best lawn mowers.....and the greenest too. Their manure is called beans and it is spectacular for gardens. In keeping with our "green" theme, bring a reusable mug with you for refreshments. Additionally Josey Corral will be here presenting information for her project to save Taos Academy Charter School from using so many plastic, one use bottles. She will have lots of information and ways you can help support her work.

Here are just a couple of new products we will be introducing during NM Fiber Crawl at Winter's Hope Alpaca Ranch, May 17, 18, 19 from 10 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
We'll have alpaca visits at 11 and at 2. In addition to shopping, you can needle felt your own mug rug. Come fill out an entry for a drawing for a washed alpaca fleece. Bring your knitting, spinning or other fiber art project and hang with us for a while.

Josey is going to be helping us be even greener at the NM Fiber Crawl at Winter's Hope. Her enthusiasm nudged us to go even greener, focusing on our refreshments. She'll have lots of information about her project, which you can support. Bring a reusable mug, or we'll have coffee mugs for you to use for water or blueberry tea.
