We retired from our first careers in 1997, moved on to a retirement business we began in 1993 and have never looked back. Myrna and Joe Hauser opened the Market Street Inn Bed and Breakfast in June of 1994. Many people saw it as a risky move but Myrna saw a need for quality lodging in Taylorville and strived to fill that void. The Market Street Inn quickly became the corporate choice of stay in our community. “We have enjoyed repeat guests from over 40 foreign countries.” On this day of Chinese New Year we say Xin Nian Kuai Le to our many guests from China who stayed with us.
