Breaking news from The Stacy Mansion: productivity has been suspended in favor of bubbles.

Danielle and Serena stepped away from the to-do list this week for a very important research project — testing the full bubble-making potential of a pond setting. The results were conclusive. Big ones. Small ones. Some genuinely the size of your head. All of them floating lazily out over the gardens while two grown women giggled like it was 1987.

Childhood called. We answered. And it was wonderful.

Honestly, we think bubbles by the pond should be a mandatory part of every stay at The Stacy Mansion. There is something about watching a giant bubble drift through the air on a late summer afternoon that makes every single thing feel okay.

This week we are sending the warmest and most heartfelt wishes to the beautiful Emily — who was celebrated in the most wonderful way this past weekend at The Stacy Mansion.

Her mom Carrie and soon-to-be mother-in-law Jenny teamed up to create an absolutely stunning bridal shower — and the two of them together were something special to witness. The food, the decor, the details — not a single thing was overlooked or left to chance. You could feel the love and excitement for Emily in every corner of the room, and that kind of intentional celebration is truly something to behold.

But here is the part that made this one extra special.

After the shower wrapped up, a smaller group of the most important women in Emily's life got to stay the night — settling in, slowing down, and soaking up a few extra hours together before this next beautiful chapter officially begins. Late night conversations, morning coffee, and the kind of unhurried time together that a regular shower simply cannot hold.

It was exactly as lovely as it sounds.

Emily — we wish you and your soon-to-be husband a lifetime of love, laughter, and the very best of everything. We are so honored to have been part of your celebration.

This week we are raising the most joyful glass to the absolutely wonderful Leslie — who had absolutely no idea what was waiting for her when she arrived at The Stacy Mansion this past weekend.

Because her dear friend Terri had a plan. And it was a good one.

Terri — a former guest who already knew exactly what kind of magic happens inside these walls — gathered three of their closest friends, booked an overnight stay, and pulled off the most wonderful surprise 80th birthday celebration for one very deserving woman. And from the moment Leslie walked through that door, the evening was nothing short of pure joy.

We had an absolute blast getting to know these ladies. The laughter, the stories, the fellowship, the kind of friendship that only comes from decades of showing up for each other — it filled every corner of this house and reminded us once again exactly why we do what we do.

Leslie, what a milestone. What a life. And what incredible friends you have in your corner.

Terri, you are a wonderful friend and an even more wonderful planner. Thank you for trusting us with this moment and for coming back to the Mansion to share it. That means everything to us.

Helping sprinkle a little sister magic on moments like this one is truly what we live for.

Meet our favorite porch sitters from this past weekend — a beautiful couple who chose The Stacy Mansion to celebrate their anniversary. And the best part of their story? They found their way to us because their daughter and son-in-law loved their own anniversary stay here so much that they sent mom and dad our way.

A family referral. For an anniversary. Following another anniversary.

We are not sure it gets any sweeter than that.

These two settled right into those rockers like they had been coming here for years — and honestly, we hope they do for years to come. The porch has a way of doing that to people. You sit down, you exhale, and suddenly there is nowhere else in the world you need to be.

This past weekend's rain had other plans for the car show and anyone hoping to spend time outdoors — and we felt that for everyone.

But somewhere in the middle of all of it, something unexpected happened.

We sat down in the rockers on the porch. And we just listened.

The rain hitting the garden. The fountain still trickling underneath it all. The kind of quiet that only a rainy day in an old house can give you — heavy and soft at the same time, like the whole world decided to slow down whether you were ready or not.

Due to some licensing constraints, our Book Bingo night has been reimagined and refreshed into something we are genuinely so excited about — and it has a new date too.

Introducing the Book Social with Novella Bound. Thursday, September 10th from 6–8 PM at The Stacy Mansion.

Consider this your official kick-off to fall cozy season. Because nothing says we are ready for sweater weather quite like a book exchange, a hot chocolate bar, and two hours inside a stunning historic mansion with your favorite people.

Part book swap, part craft night, part literary social — this is two hours of early fall coziness, warm drinks, great company, and the particular joy of leaving with something brand new to read.

Here is how it works. Before you come, wrap up to three books from home, conceal the title, and add a sticky note with the genre and a clue or two about why you loved it. Bring them along, receive swap tokens at the door, browse the wrapped books on display all evening, sip something warm from the hot chocolate bar, make handmade bookmarks, play a quick bookish game for a bonus token, and on your way out exchange your tokens for the wrapped books that caught your eye.

Two years ago this month, three women walked through the doors of a 176 year old historic home in Tecumseh, Michigan — and nothing has been the same since.

We remember it like it was yesterday. The three of us moving from room to room, minds racing, hearts pounding, quietly doing the math between what this place was and everything we believed it could become. And then doing something equally important — bringing our families through those same doors and watching their faces as they tried to see what we saw.

Because while the three of us had already made up our minds, it still mattered deeply that the people who love us most could stand in these rooms and understand why. Why this house. Why this town. Why now. Why us.

Some of them got it immediately. Some of them needed a minute. And all of them showed up for us anyway — and have never stopped showing up since.

Two years later, the before and after speaks for itself.

What was once a dream walked through on a warm summer day is now a place where people fall in love, celebrate milestones, wake up to gourmet breakfasts, wander through blooming gardens, and make memories they carry home with them.

We are so proud of what this has become. And so grateful to the families who said yes alongside us.

Here is to two years of saying yes to the big, scary, beautiful things.
