A quick trout trip to the Bald River turned into a yellow jacket escape mission today! 😂🐝

​My youngest son accidentally stepped on a rotted log full of them on our way back and had to escape into the water. Only got stung 3 times, but he took it like an absolute champ—no tears, pure tough-guy energy (he was really proud of himself haha)! ​Catching fish was slow, but you can’t beat being able to leave the porch of The Tellico Plains Inn and be in the river in 20 minutes flat. 🌲🎣

Oh, and then top it off with TK Grill & Barbecue ribs, burger, and a brisket sandwich and you forget all about the trout that got away and the yellow jacket stings to your legs.

Someone recently stayed at a chain hotel and sent me this photo. It made me shake my head.
