Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all ! We are planning some new events for next year and Mark and Claude are busy doing improvements to the buildings this winter. Doing a little riding though it's been COLD ! Whoever invented heated grips was a genius !

This year’s ADV Old’s Cool Fall Rally was such a blast! We were blessed with perfect weather and the Fall colors were puttin’ on a show. There’s no time like Fall to showcase vintage bikes, and the guys brought out some great iron. Colleen treated us to fantastic BBQ with all the fixins, as well as her superb Omelette bar on Sunday morning. Thanks to all the rally attendees for making the a truly memorable event.

This weekend's Dual Foolz event was a small but fun gathering of dual sporters, both experienced and novice (me) alike. Cherokee Chuck led 13 riders on a spectacular tour of the Cherokee Ntl Forest. Trail 82 offered us riding single track parallel to a mountain and some technical up- and down-hill sections. Chuck led us on a trail with several technical creek crossings, and the forest roads are a blast to open up on. Thanks to Chuck and all the riders: Gail and Eddie Thomas, Justin and Jackie Potts, Robert Cooper, Sean Callahan, Kevin Shrader, Ric Lee, Tige Chastain, Eli Elliott, and Ted Visscher.

Field Reports Just IN !!! Mark Halback reports "...The baggies did great. My full helmet and 'Harley Orange' did their jobs just fine...The baggies kept my feet bone dry. As for from my waist to my ankles... Soaked and COLD!!" Mark Shrout reports "...we made it no problem, finally stopped raining when we got to Scottsboro, AL, Yellow bag booties worked awesome..." Good Job guys !

Redneck Rain Footwear Shootout ! Here are Mark Halback from TN and Mark Shrout from AL testing which bags will perform best as rain footwear. Products ranged from the el-cheapo Sav-A-Lot bag (left), our own medium-grade T-shirt bag (center), and the deluxe Twisted Throttle schwag bag. Our testers agreed that the Sav-A-Lot bag was too short and flimsy. Mark H opted for one of each T-shirt and TT bags on either foot, and Mark S chose to go all-the-way with two TT bags. We will publish the real-world-test as soon as the boys report in !

The COG (Concourse Owners' Group) WRRR rally was last weekend and everyone made it such an enjoyeable event for us to host. Thanks to all the riders for your help during the monsoon dinner, building the bonfire, etc. I hope to see y'all again soon.

Tim and the guys from KY. We took Dave to Maryville to Brackins and heard an incredible acoustic artist named Mike Queen playing guitar and harmonica, singing classic rock variations to fast blues improv - amazing and just very cool. Would like to have him come to the CMR for a future gig for one of our events. Maybe Dual Foolz ?
