FIVE STARS! Our stay here was wonderful!! Location is easily accessed and central to all restaurants and activities. Easy and quick access to Big Bend. Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need.

FIVE STARS FOR TERLINGUA TE AMO!!

5 STARS!! The house was so cozy and lovely from the moment we stepped in the door. There were nice little extras all over the house. We enjoyed the view at night sitting outside the fire ring with a glass of wine. The larger beds were comfortable and inviting. We had everything we needed and then some, and it was super easy to jump on the road in the morning and head out to the park.

It may be early April, but daytime temperatures in Big Bend National Park have already hit 100 degrees in the lower elevations.
If you're planning to hit the trails, keep these tips in mind:
1. Start early - cooler temps = safer hikes
2. If you're hiking in the lower elevations and along the river, plan to be off the trail by 11:00 am
3. Bring plenty of water. Those 12 oz plastic bottles? Not enough. We recommend at least one gallon per person per day
4. Use electrolytes in your water and eat salty snacks.
5. Dress smart to protect yourself from the sun - wear light-colored clothing, sunscreen, and a hat

We've seen how quickly a simple hike can become an emergency when people aren't prepared. Don't take chances.

Your friends, your family, and your kids, want you to come home safe. So do we.
