Operating since 1947, the R Lazy S Ranch is located in one of the West's most scenic area - Jackson Hole. Just 20 minutes from the town of Jackson, the ranch is bordered by Grand Teton National Park to the North, and the beautiful Snake River to the East. Close by are Teton trails, alpine lakes, sparkling streams and lush green meadows. The towering Teton Mountains are in full view and only minute

s away from the Ranch. Each of the 14 individual cabins on the 325 acre Ranch enjoy magnificent views. Various floor plans and sizes are offered to allow large or small families. All cabins have one or two private bathrooms, electric heat, and either a sitting room with a stone fireplace or a wood burning stove. The main lodge, with it's massive stone fireplace and cozy living room is a favorite gathering place, especially for cocktails before dinner and night activities. Our unusually large crew of 35 is able to offer distinctive personal attention.

Last night, recognized the R Lazy S ranch with a historic properties plaque. The land we’re on was first homesteaded in 1909, became the Aspen ranch (another dude ranch) in 1936, and finally the permanent home of the relocated R Lazy S ranch under Stirn family ownership in 1972. We’ve had a vibrant and exceptional 77 seasons hosting dudes, and are grateful to the McConaughey family for founding the RLS, to the Fonatsch’s for their decades of dedication, and to Maureen Flanagan and her family for seamlessly stepping into the Manager’s role and a life on the ranch. So many other amazing ppl over the years have made the ranch such a wonderful place, but we especially want to recognize Samantha Ford from for her passion and expertise that made this award possible. Sam is constantly surprising us with little archival discoveries and nuggets of history she has pieced together about the buildings, the people and the places in our past. Catch her alone and she’ll happily spend 20mins regaling you with her latest exciting discovery of some old irrigation ditch or another! Cheers to Sam, and the R Lazy S!

Happy Earth Day from our slice of Heaven on Earth! Our family has been stewards of this land for 4 generations, and the ranch was the founding easement for . The R Lazy S is forever protected from development and will continue to host dudes each summer like we have for 77 years. 54 days till we open for 2026! We can’t wait!

We’ve got space on our crew for 1 more! Turn our lemons (a last minute cancellation) into your Lemonade! Spend the summer of your life at the R Lazy S Ranch!

🧼the Job: seasonal, Early May through October 14th.

Oversee the housekeeping team of 4, ensuring the cleanliness of guest cabins, lodge and ranch facilities.

Participate in daily cleaning duties including in-house laundry, and weekly cabin turnover on Sundays. The job is a 5 day work week with each housekeeper having a slightly different schedule.

- Salary
- Gratuities (received during 16-week guest-season) are generous with opportunity to earn more by participating in extra activities with guests. Earn extra cash playing kickball, riding with guests during off-time, going to the rodeo, and participating in talent night, and more!
- Housing (in single or double cabins)
- 3 gourmet meals a day
