Our goal with The Colonial has always been to restore a gorgeous piece of history, while also bringing in local and community business.
We always want to remain transparent with you and give you some indication as to why you might have seen work stalled.
Unfortunately, our old girl has had some serious hiccups. After some recent renovations, it was revealed that rot and decay that we didn’t know was there has destroyed most of the structure of the building. We are talking foundation, sill plates, and supports. We called in multiple professionals who have all said the same thing—a compete rebuild. It has been devastating to say the least. Our hearts are etched into that broken beautiful girl. But we haven’t given up on her yet. It is just going to take time, patience, a whole lot of love (and apparently money 😜).
So, we decided that we still want to bring that business to the community, while we continue loving and toiling away at our old girl.
Therefore, here is a picture—a sneak peek at what we are working on. Any guesses as to what it might be (we aren’t telling yet)? Just know that we are doing everything we can to bring The Colonial back to life and also be a positive part of the community!
PS: We don’t own any horses 😜🤣
