Raysville Campground Raysville Campground is located on the west side of Clarks Hill Lake. Corps of Engineers lake east of the Mississippi River.

Raysville Campground is located on Georgia's Little River section of Clarks Hill Lake, the largest U.S. The 70,000 acre lake and its 1,000+ miles of shoreline provide excellent boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing, hiking and picnicking. Natural Features:
Hot, humid summers and mild, pleasant winters characterize this heavily wooded. A mixed pine and hardwood forest covers the site, providing

summer shade and fall color. Wildlife is abundant around the lake. Visitors regularly see southern bald eagles, migratory waterfowl, wild turkeys and whitetail deer. Recreation:
Clarks Hill Lake provides some of the best fishing, hunting, and water sports in the southeastern United States. Anglers fish for largemouth bass, bream, crappie, catfish and striped bass. The large lake offers endless boating, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing and swimming opportunities. Facilities:
Raysville Campground is situated in a wooded area on the waterfront and consists of 55 family campsites, all with 50-amp electrical hookups. Amenities include restrooms, showers, a dump station, boat ramp and dock. Nearby Attractions:
Just 9 miles from Thomson, Ga with dining, shopping, local museums, art gallery and seasonal events.

🚫 BURN BAN IN EFFECT FOR SOUTH GEORGIA 🔥

The Georgia Forestry Commission has issued a temporary burn ban for 91 counties, including McDuffie County, due to worsening drought conditions and increased wildfire risk.

‼️ Effective immediately
🗓 Duration: 30 days (through May 22, 2026, unless extended)

What this means:
-No outdoor burning of any kind
-No yard debris or leaf pile burning
-No agricultural or prescribed burns
-No burn permits will be issued during this time

Nearly all of Georgia is currently experiencing moderate to exceptional drought conditions, and even a small spark can quickly lead to a dangerous wildfire.

⚠️ We urge all residents to take this seriously and do their part to help prevent wildfires.
