Wow that summer heat has finally arrived! We all know that turning our thermostats down to 60 does'tt get it to 70 any faster, especially if everyone does it and blows breakers.

I personally find every extra blanket, sheet or curtain and hang them over the blinds and doors. Looks goofy but man does it make a difference! I can feel the heat coming thru the blinds!.

What is your secret to keeping the camper cooled off in this heat?

8:30pm Update: current level 10.31ft. Projected crest looks like sunday at 8pm at around 12 ft. So we are still not anticipating a flood this weekend.

Hello everyone , I just want everyone to know that we are keeping an eye on the creek levels. Its is currently at just over 10ft. Earlier this spring, in April, we crested at 14.27ft without major flooding. We don't have a magic 8-ball, so we cant tell you what to do. We use USGS and NOAA to anticipate what the creek is going to do. We urge you to also look at these websites (particularly at the Sugar Creek information at the Crawfordsville station) and make your own decisions. We do not currently anticipate the creek getting that high again but you never know with mother nature. We will try to keep everyone updated as we go forward into the night.

It is with a Heavy Heart that i am cancelling the Duck Race this weekend. As far as hippie weekend we are moving it to the barn. We will do as much of the activity's as we can

The zoo is being closed for the day due to storms on the way and very nearby lightning. It will reopen tomorrow.

The pool is closed due to lightning within 15 miles. It will reopen 30 minutes after the last lightning strike within 15 miles.
