Hang on, summer! The sun’s still high but nights have cooled. Chinook Pass is open for loops around Mt Rainier for just bit longer. Farmers still have stone fruit and sweet corn, but apple harvest is coming early.

Take a holiday before the seasons change: cabins are open around Labor Day and the last weekend of the month.

Of the many delights of our agricultural valley… U-Pick summer is tops! Blueberries by the bucketful at sweet and scenic Cowiche Creek Blueberries are close to the cabins and the Cowiche canyon, and they will keep two kindergarteners happy for a full hour 👼

Throughout the valley, u-pick cherries, apricots, and berries in the summertime, apples and pears in the fall. And pop by farm stands and Downtown Yakima Farmers Market for all else from our local growers.

Al fresco-adjacent kitchens in Cabins 5 and 6 are cheerful and breezy for prepping summer meals. Stainless cookware, analog coffee makers, antique ceramic dishwares… they’re a low-fi, slowed-down style of cook space.

You fill the cabins with friends and fam, tote a couple of patio tables over to the fire pit, and commence party.
Flattop grill? Extra tables and chairs? Festoon lights and lanterns? Cabins are stocked with simple tools for party success, just move them around as needed (and back again thanks). Doesn’t hurt to bring a friend who loves to sling hot dogs for a crowd.

Cabins sleep up to 20 using all beds, bunks, and daybeds. Group buyouts get a full year for advance booking. That’s next summer! 😳
