Our Story

At the very end of Tilghman Island, the half-mile drive passes through 58 acres of bird sanctuary to reveal six secluded acres of gardens and lawn completely surrounded by the Bay. Open year-round, Black Walnut Point Inn offers four rooms in the 1840's house, three waterfront cabins, a swimming pool, and the best sunsets on the Bay. The Inn hosts an average of twenty weddings a year, where events are held for the entire weekend. Taking advantage of local vendors and partner hotels, Black Walnut Point Inn has hosted a guest list of over 300, but within a very reasonable budget compared to other like venues. Because of our location weddings tend to be relaxed, where the only interruption may be by the eagles, dolphin, or monarch butterflies that seasonally invade the point to join the festivities.
