Happy FOURTH OF JULY
🇺🇸 From Astoria to Brookings, Oregon Coast communities are preparing for a festive Independence Day season filled with fireworks, parades, and family friendly celebrations.
July 4
Florence will host its annual fireworks show over the Siuslaw River. The 30 minute display begins at dusk, around 10:00 p.m., and is launched from a barge near the Port of Siuslaw Campground. The colorful show reflects off the river and is visible along Historic Old Town and the waterfront.
Lincoln City will once again celebrate Independence Day with a fireworks show over Devils Lake near Regatta Park. The city returned to traditional fireworks after trying a drone show the previous year, with the lake location selected to reduce impacts on wildlife and sensitive habitats around Siletz Bay.
Newport’s annual fireworks show will light up Yaquina Bay at 10:00 p.m. The 20 minute display will feature a special tribute to America’s 250th birthday. Popular viewing locations include the Newport Bayfront, Yaquina Bay State Recreation Site, and the Yaquina Bay Estuary Trail in South Beach near the Hatfield Marine Science Center.
In Astoria, fireworks will begin at 10:00 p.m. and will be launched from a barge on the Columbia River near downtown. The display can be viewed from waterfront locations throughout the city and remains one of the North Coast’s most popular Independence Day traditions.
Seaside will once again host one of the largest fireworks displays on the Oregon Coast. The free show begins at approximately 10:00 p.m. on July 4 and will be launched directly from the beach near the iconic Seaside Turnaround. The fireworks display lasts about 30 minutes and follows a full day of festivities, including Seaside’s traditional Fourth of July parade beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Rockaway Beach is expected to draw large crowds for its annual Fourth of July celebration. Fireworks will be launched directly from the beach at dusk, around 10:00 p.m. The town hosts a full day of family friendly activities, including an afternoon parade, bake sale, and the popular dachshund races.
On the South Coast, Brookings will host its famous Love Your 4th fireworks show. The massive display is launched from Sporthaven Beach and begins at approximately 10:00 p.m. The 20 minute show is one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in Southern Oregon and attracts thousands of spectators each year.
July 10–12
The celebrations continue the following weekend in Toledo during the annual Toledo Summer Festival and Logging Show. Running July 10 through July 12, the event features three days of entertainment, activities, and community festivities. The highlight is the Grand Fireworks Show on Saturday night, July 11, when fireworks will light up the sky above Memorial Field.
Whether you’re celebrating on the North Coast, Central Coast, or South Coast, Oregon offers no shortage of opportunities to enjoy spectacular fireworks displays and summer traditions with family and friends.
