🌧️🍂 A little rain couldn’t stop the crafting today!

Since Mother Nature decided to give us a rainy day at the campground, we brought the fun indoors with a Fall Sign Making Craft! 🎨🍁

And WOW… we absolutely LOVE how all these signs turned out! 🧡 Everyone did such a great job, and there’s nothing better than a little creativity, good company, and a cozy rainy afternoon at the campground.

Rainy days don’t have to be boring! 😉🌧️🍂

Sometimes taking care of the campground means more than mowing, cleaning, and fixing things. ❤️🌲

While walking the campground, we noticed a Cedar Waxwing hanging strangely underneath a branch over the river. At first, we couldn’t figure out what was going on. Then we took a closer look and realized the poor bird was actually caught on a fishing lure.

Paul grabbed his pole saw and carefully cut the branch down which freed the bird. Once we got a closer look, we discovered three fishing lures and a bunch of fishing line tangled around the branch, which could have been a pretty dangerous situation for any bird or other wildlife that happened to come across it.

Thankfully, this little guy was freed and flew away. 🐦❤️

We don’t just take care of the campground for our campers. We take care of it for the wildlife that calls this place home too. Sometimes that means picking up trash, sometimes it means fixing a bridge, and sometimes it means grabbing a pole saw and rescuing a bird. ❤️🌲

And yes… you’ll hear a very enthusiastic “WAAAHOOOO!” at the end of the video. 😂 Apparently, bird rescue comes with a little celebration too! 🐦🎉

Yesterday’s Co****le Tournament was one for the books! 20 teams came out ready to toss some bags, have some fun, and hopefully talk a little trash. 😂

🏆🚤 9th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta! 🚤🏆

Today was ALL about creativity, teamwork, and a little friendly competition! We had so many amazing cardboard boats hit the water, and we loved seeing everyone’s creativity come to life. 🙌

A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated and made today so much fun!

And of course… CONGRATULATIONS to Finley & Oakley Zimmerman! 🏆🎉 They took home the victory with an awesome boat built by them, their family, and friends! What a team effort! 👏❤️

✨ What a fun afternoon of crafting! ✨

Today’s Sip & Craft was a little different than some of our past events, and we absolutely loved it! 💕 We spent the afternoon creating beautiful sun catchers using broken glass and resin. ☀️✨

Everyone did such an amazing job, and I loved seeing how each person’s creativity came through. No two sun catchers turned out the same, and that’s what made them so special! 💎🌈

There was lots of creativity, laughter, and a whole lot of fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made today’s event so wonderful! ❤️

✨ A Special Shout-Out! ✨

After Saturday’s Water Wars, there were hundreds of water balloons scattered throughout the campground. Yesterday, while I was making my way around cleaning them all up, something happened that completely made my day.

These wonderful families stopped what they were doing at the beach, grabbed their buckets, and jumped right in to help me pick up balloons. ❤️ They didn’t have to, they weren’t asked, they simply saw someone who could use a hand and stepped up.

A huge thank you to Liz, CJ, and Chloe Schopf and Cathleen, Noah, and Finn Heinz for your kindness and willingness to help. Your generosity truly means more than you know.

Acts of kindness like this are what make Tilleda Falls Campground so special. We are incredibly grateful for people who care about this place as much as we do.
