❤️💚🖤 Today was a meaningful way to celebrate Juneteenth.

Alongside fellow local small business owners, I volunteered with Crafted Signatures and the Islamic Food Bank to help assemble more than 600 food bags for Toledo families who may need a little extra support this weekend.

It's easy to think of small businesses as storefronts, logos, or social media pages. But behind every business is a person who cares deeply about their community.

Today wasn't about promoting ourselves. It was about showing up, rolling up our sleeves, and helping our neighbors.

Afterward, we gathered on the porch at The King's Throne Inn for conversation, connection, and fellowship—continuing the spirit of community that made the day so special.

I'm grateful to be surrounded by people who understand that success means little if we don't lift others up along the way.

Today, guests from Europe......

shared that they came to the United States specifically to experience the art scene here, including our beloved Toledo Museum of Art.

As artists themselves, they're researching, learning, and soaking in creativity wherever they find it.

It made me pause and appreciate something I sometimes take for granted: the paintings displayed throughout The King's Throne Inn & Guest House.

These pieces belonged to my family long before they became part of the inn, and they've always been among my most prized possessions.

To know that people from around the world are seeing them, asking about them, and appreciating them alongside the incredible art our city has to offer is deeply humbling.

Art has a way of connecting us—across generations, across oceans, and sometimes right here in an old house in Toledo.

For that, I'm grateful. 🎨✨
