We’re officially counting down to Saturday’s Bourbon Tasting — and each day this week, we’re giving you a closer look at one of the six bourbons in our lineup.
FIRST UP: EAGLE RARE 10-YEAR
Aged for a minimum of 10 years, Eagle Rare is a Kentucky straight bourbon known for its smooth, layered character. It opens with aromas of toasted oak, honey and vanilla, followed by flavors of caramel, orange peel and dark fruit. The finish is long and warming, with lingering oak and a touch of spice.
Eagle Rare is bottled at 90-proof and is often appreciated for its balance: rich enough to be interesting, but smooth enough to enjoy on its own or over a single large cube.
