Harley-Davidson’s Tomahawk story didn’t start with a motorcycle. It started with a boat. 👇🏼

🚤🏍️ In 1961, Harley-Davidson purchased Tomahawk Boat Manufacturing to gain expertise in fiberglass production. For a few years, Harley continued building boats right here in the Northwoods before the facility shifted to motorcycle components.

That investment created a lasting connection between Harley-Davidson and Tomahawk, helping inspire the annual Tomahawk Fall Ride that now draws thousands of riders each September.

We spotted this vintage Tomahawk boat at the Harley-Davidson Museum and had to share the story. One of Wisconsin’s biggest motorcycle traditions actually has roots on the water!

We're so grateful for the guests who return year after year. 💙 Their feedback helps us grow, their support means the world to us, and over time many have become more like friends than guests.

One recent suggestion was to make access to the beach area a little easier, so this week we added a new ladder.
