Mornings wrapped in smoke and ember,
the fire crackling against the chill.
Leaves drift silently onto the lake,
as the paddleboard carries you through their gentle descent.

By evening, the water becomes a mirror —
the sun slipping west,
the moon rising east,
a golden handoff written across the horizon.

And in between, long walks among the pines,
their roots steady, their whispers ancient,
reminding you that stillness is its own kind of song.

Fall here is a season of pause.
A reminder to linger, to listen,
to let the beauty of endings

Summer has returned to Road Lake Retreat —
