A 2 PM party and a 7 PM party are two different events. 🍂 Temperature swings, wind, rain, and an early sunset can change the plan fast, but the right rentals help you prepare for the whole celebration.

Penny’s new article, “Fall Party Rentals: Tents, Tables, and Inflatables for Ohio Valley Weather,” covers three essentials:

⛺ Tents provide shade, shelter from light rain, and a defined guest area. Size for your tables and chairs, not just your head count!

🪑 Tables and chairs are the gear everyone forgets until they need it. Give grandparents, volunteers, and guests a real place to sit, eat, and enjoy the event.

🎉 Inflatables are still a perfect fall rental for birthdays, school carnivals, church events, and trunk-or-treats!

Weather matters: tents are not a solution for severe weather or high wind. Inflatables have wind limits and will be pulled when conditions are unsafe.

With Screwy Louie’s, you get free delivery and free setup across the Ohio Valley and Tri-State region, transparent pricing right on our website, no credit card surcharges, no anchoring or sandbag fees, and no after-hours charges. We’re fully insured through Cossio Insurance Agency and state-inspected.

Plan smarter, prepare for the weather, and make the whole event memorable. 🍁

🎉 Indoor, outdoor, or a little of both? Penny’s upcoming decision guide, “Indoor vs. Outdoor Birthday Party, Which Is Better for Your Kid’s Party?” helps parents choose with confidence!

🏠 Choose indoor if you want weather-proof fun, reliable heating or A/C, easier access for grandparents, babies, wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers, a contained space for toddlers, and less worry about rain, wind, heat, cold, or bugs. Indoor venues often have firm time blocks and hard-stop times, which adds structure but can feel rushed.

☀️ Choose outdoor if you want more room for active kids and larger guest lists, plus space for bounce houses, water slides, obstacle courses, and foam parties. You’ll have a flexible schedule, easier separation of food, gifts, and play, and less mess inside your home, but you’ll manage the timing yourself.

⛺ Choose hybrid if you want outdoor fun with shelter nearby. A tent creates shade, protection from light rain, and a defined guest area for food, cake, tables, chairs, gifts, and adult seating, without booking a full venue. Just remember, high wind or severe storms still require a backup plan.

🍂 Fall and winter often lean indoor. Spring can go either way, but watch for rain and muddy ground. Summer is perfect for water slides and foam parties, with shade and hydration covered.

Whatever setting you choose, Screwy Louie’s makes planning easier with free delivery and free setup throughout the Ohio Valley and Tri-State region, transparent website pricing, no credit card surcharges, no anchoring or sandbag fees, and no after-hours delivery, setup, or pickup charges. We’re fully insured through Cossio Insurance Agency, state-inspected, and committed to clean, quality equipment and dependable service.

Before you book a bounce house, ask the questions that protect your party, and your kid's big day! 🎉

Any reputable company should be ready to answer these six questions.

1. Can I see your Certificate of Insurance before I pay a deposit?
2. Is the specific inflatable registered or permitted in my state?
3. Was the unit inspected before setup?
4. What does the setup area require?
5. What are the age, height, and weight limits?
6. How is the equipment cleaned between events?

Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania regulate inflatables as amusement rides or attractions, with insurance and inspection requirements.

West Virginia requires $300,000 per person and $1,000,000 aggregate, plus a Permit to Operate seal on the left rear tie-down.

Pennsylvania requires registration, insurance of at least $100,000 per occurrence and $300,000 aggregate, plus inspections at least every 30 days or at each new setup location.

Ohio requires an annual operating permit, a state inspection, and documented daily pre-opening checks.

Penny's new customer-protection article explains what to ask and what responsible rental looks like.

🏰💦 WATER SLIDE OR BOUNCE HOUSE? Which rental is better for your kid’s party?

Penny’s newest blog breaks it down! The best choice depends on your guests’ ages, available space, weather, and budget.

🏰 Bounce houses are generally great for ages 3–10 and often fit spaces around 13×13 to 18×18 feet. The Modern Rainbow Castle Bouncer is listed at $250, with several bounce combos starting at $375.

💦 Water slides are often best for ages 5+: depending on the specific unit: and may need about 20×15 to 30×14 feet or more. The Purple Marble Water Slide is listed at $375, while the 30' Retro Rainbow Rock Climb Slide is listed at $425.

You’ll also find large obstacle courses listed at $500, plus plenty of options in between!
