A Garden Party to Remember!
The annual Garden Party, hosted by Sue Warsoff, blossomed into a wonderful afternoon of good food, great company, and summer cheer! Guests enjoyed an irresistible spread inspired by the season, featuring fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious baked dishes, vegetarian specialties, homemade pies, warm breads, and decadent brownies.

Surrounded by friends, neighbors, and the beauty of summer, everyone gathered to savor the afternoon and celebrate the joys of community. It was truly a garden party in every sense—a delightful day filled with laughter, friendship, and plenty of delicious treats!

Power Loss information was sent by Recreation this morning. Please check your emails for important info provided by Rec Manager, Kate Ferris.

Other Helpful Tips:

Refrigerators & Freezers:
Most full freezers can stay cool up until 48 hours.
Modern refrigerators (2010+) that are well-insulated can keep items colder for longer than older fridges. Judge accordingly.
Next time: Set your refrigerator and freezer to the coldest setting before the outage if severe weather is expected.

What’s For Dinner?:
Restaurants in the area will likely be very full. Call ahead to make reservations for this evening, or tomorrow. You can always cancel.

Windows:
Since we have cooler temps, don’t forget to crack your window a bit for some fresh air.

Phone Usage:
Conserve your phone or iPad pad’s battery by setting your screens to a dimmer setting.

Be a Good Neighbor:
Check on elderly or mobility-impaired neighbors.
Share updates if you have reliable information.
Offer spare flashlights, batteries, or phone charging if you have extras.

Emergency Kit Essentials:
Flashlights and extra batteries
Portable phone chargers (fully charged)
Battery-powered or hand-crank weather radio
Bottled water
Non-perishable food
First-aid kit
Prescription medications
Manual can opener
Cash (card readers may not work)
