A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO FOOTHILLS KIWANIS!

As we have wrapped up our final Pancake Breakfast of the 2026 camping season, we want to extend a very special THANK YOU to Foothills Kiwanis! They do an awesome job providing these opportunities for us!

We are so grateful for the time, dedication, and generosity this wonderful group puts into serving our community.

Here at Big Meadow Family Campground, we are proud to play even a small part in helping Foothills Kiwanis provide much-needed items and support for children in our surrounding communities. ❤️

It's about so much more than pancakes—it's about neighbors helping neighbors, giving back, and making a difference in the lives of local children!

Pam's Corner #1 v2

We have received many requests for Pam's Corner to start back up and Greg finally talked me into it. Hope you enjoy the thoughts, tips and tricks to staying in our small corner of the Great Smoky Mountains. We can't wait to spend some time with your family and ours!

While trying to think about what to start with the idea of family, traditions and camping friends has to be the lead. So, I'm starting with Thanksgiving.

Trying to figure out what to do for Thanksgiving. Go to your mom’s house, hours away, for dinner? Fly out west to visit some family for a few days? Invite friends over for a Friendsgiving feast? Every one of these options sound overwhelming. What if you just ditched all that and went camping somewhere like Big Meadow Campground instead?

Barbara and Malcolm started the tradition of the campground Thanksgiving meal many years ago and over the years it has grown to be such a fun event. The campground provides the turkey and ham. Campground guest provide one covered dish (how easy is that?) This year is the first year that Greg/Pam and the twins will be in charge of the dinner. Much thought and plans are flying around here and we want to extend a heartfelt pledge that the Thanksgiving celebration here has our full focus. We can't wait!!!

A fun weekend, campfires, laughter, star filled nights, hot chocolate, smore's, games etc. Doesn't that sound like fun? We have all your Camco supplies needed for your RV and we are ready.

Please make sure that you make your reservations soon, we promise it will be a fun filled family event and we can't wait to see you!

Missing a very special man who was such an important part of our camping family. Fall was always such a special time especially with his antics and the love he shared with us! Joe Herbert you may be enjoying Heaven but you are missed here at Big Meadow!

🍂🔥 Cold Weather, Warm Campfires & Even Warmer Friendships! ❤️🏕️

Today's chilly weather has brought many of us a little closer to the campfire! 🔥

One of the greatest blessings of camping is discovering that the best friendships are the ones that turn into family! ❤️

Here at Big Meadow Family Campground, we've learned that family isn't always about being related by blood. Sometimes, it's about the laughter shared around a campfire, the memories made together, and the friendships that last a lifetime.
