🐎 A day at Flintfields Horse Park for the American Gold Cup on September 20.

🍇 Harvest season on Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas — arguably one of the best times of year to explore northern Michigan wine country.

⛵ Sneaking in a few more beautiful days on Grand Traverse Bay while the September weather is still on our side.

🌅 Crisp mornings, quiet beach walks, and watching the sunrise over East Bay from Alexandra Inn.

🍸 Rooftop evenings at Blush with a glass of local wine and some of the best views of the changing season.

✨ Employee Spotlight: Meet Morgen ✨

If you've checked in at Alexandra Inn recently, chances are you've been welcomed by Morgen's friendly smile at the front desk.

A Traverse City native and graduate of Traverse City Central High School, Morgen has called Northern Michigan home for most of her life. Outside of working at the front desk at Alexandra Inn, she's the owner of a photography business specializing in weddings and portraits, a passion she's pursued for nearly 14 years (wow!).

After high school, Morgen spent five years as a 4-H Assistant Leader before moving to Florida to chase her dream of riding horses. That journey led to an incredible accomplishment as an NSBA World Championship Runner-Up.

After three years away, she returned home to be closer to family and embarked on a new adventure in hospitality, bringing over a decade of customer service experience from retail to our front desk team.

Whether she's helping guests discover the best of Traverse City or making your arrival seamless, Morgen's warm personality and dedication help make every stay feel special.

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸🍒

Today marks the start of the 100th National Cherry Festival in downtown Traverse City, making this Independence Day even more special. Here's to celebrating 250 years of America and one of Northern Michigan's most beloved traditions.

We hope everyone has a wonderful, safe, and memorable holiday with family and friends.

Guests staying at Alexandra Inn can enjoy partial views of tonight's fireworks from the property. For the best seats in town, head to downtown Traverse City or West Grand Traverse Bay to experience the full display.
