October looks good on Traverse City. 🍂✨

The colors are showing off, the w**eries are settling into harvest season, and there’s something about a crisp fall day along the bay that makes us want to slow down and stay awhile.

A few things we’re looking forward to this month:

🍁 Taking the scenic route through Old Mission Peninsula as northern Michigan reaches peak fall color.

🍷 Cozy afternoons exploring the w**eries of Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas during one of the most beautiful times of year in w**e country.

🥾 Hiking the trails and overlooks at Sleeping Bear Dunes surrounded by brilliant fall color.

🎃 Making a stop at a local pumpkin patch or orchard for c***r, donuts, pumpkins, and all the quintessential Up North fall things.

🛍️ Spending a crisp afternoon wandering downtown Traverse City, popping into local shops and grabbing something warm along Front Street.

🌊 Bundling up for a quiet walk along East Grand Traverse Bay when the beach feels like it’s all yours.

🔥 Ending the day back at Alexandra Inn with a glass of w**e, a cozy fire, and one more look at the bay.

And just like that, another season at Alexandra Inn comes to a close. 🤍 Our final night of the 2026 season is October 24, with our last guests checking out October 25.

There are only a few weeks left to experience fall at Alexandra Inn before we close our doors for the season. Come see us one more time. 🍂

Thank you to Unearth Michigan for this thoughtful feature highlighting so many aspects of the Inn.

We look forward to welcoming guests through the night of October 24, 2026 (check-out on October 25th) and will reopen in April 2027.

Blush Rooftop Terrace offers appetizers and flatbreads in the afternoon and evenings, and we provide free pastries at our lobby coffee bar in the morning and cookies in the evening. 🍪

Our signature Cabernet Sauvignon, “Memories,” is available by the bottle in our lobby market or by the glass at Blush Rooftop Terrace.

The days are still warm, the evenings are getting a little cozier, and Traverse City is settling into one of our favorite times of year.

🎨 Strolling downtown and browsing the Downtown Fine Art Fair, September 12–13.

🐎 A day at Flintfields Horse Park for the American Gold Cup on September 20.

🍇 Harvest season on Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas — arguably one of the best times of year to explore northern Michigan w**e country.

⛵ Sneaking in a few more beautiful days on Grand Traverse Bay while the September weather is still on our side.

🌅 Crisp mornings, quiet beach walks, and watching the sunrise over East Bay from Alexandra Inn.

🍸 Rooftop evenings at Blush with a glass of local w**e and some of the best views of the changing season.

Summer may be winding down, but September in Traverse City is just getting started. 🤍
