If you've ever stood on the beach at sunset waiting for the "Green Flash" chances are you've been disappointed. The Green Flash happens when the setting sun drops below the horizon, and for a very brief moment the sun shows through the green seawater.

Some folks will tell you that the Green Flash is a myth.

Here are some pictures taken in Key West that suggest the Green Flash is real.

The Sands of Treasure Island is the perfect place to watch for the Green Flash and even if you never see it the time was far from wasted.
