The great hole debacle last weekend on Treasure Island Beach! 📣

These beach warriors decided to go full archaeologist mode and excavate what looked like either a portal to Abu Dhabi or their own private mini island off our little island. They put in work! We’re talking Olympic level digging here.

(We’ve added some smiley faces over faces because this is not a wanted poster, just a PSA. 😏)

But seriously, friends: fill in your holes before you pack up and head out. Why? Because giant sand craters are sneaky little hazards. Here’s the not-so-fun list of why:
➡️ They can collapse suddenly and bury someone. Just last week in Florida, tragedy struck when a hole caved in on a young girl playing on the beach. It’s real, it’s heartbreaking, and it happens more than you’d think.
➡️ They’re trip-and-faceplant hazards, especially for night walkers, joggers, or anyone chasing the sunset.
➡️ Wildlife can fall in and get stuck.
➡️ Emergency vehicles? Yeah, they don’t love surprise sinkholes when racing to help someone.

We’re all about that chill Treasure Island life. Dig, laugh, splash, repeat, but let’s keep the energy for fun, not for filling in craters later. 😎

One more thing. Those round trash cans with lids at the beach entrances and parking lots? They’re not modern art. They’re for your bottles, wrappers, and whatever else came with you. Our sandy shores and sparkling Gulf waters thank you for taking your trash with you! 👏

Now, go soak up the sun, make memories, and leave the beach better than you found it. ⛱️ Paradise thanks you! 👍

Treasure Island’s biggest festival returns this weekend and next! Come rent a cabana, beach lounger, umbrella, or paddle board and be right by all the action. Two weekends of sand sculptures, food and live music all day and night. Stop by the Island Girl Tiki Bar for a drink before the show! 🍹🏝️🏖️🎶

Island Girl Beach Rentals is looking for beach attendants to work weekends and possibly pick up a shift during the week if needed. 9am-5pm Must be able to work outside and enjoy the beach! Due to possible severe weather and high winds we will not be open today.
But come see us this week for a cabanas , beach loungers, paddle boards, or umbrellas, it’s supposed to be gorgeous! 🏄🏻‍♀️☀️🏖️

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at The Island Girl! We hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday. We will be open today (Wed) and Thanksgiving day! So come out and celebrate on the beach! 🦃🍗🍻🥂🍹🌴

We are open! The beach is open! The city of Treasure Island & several volunteer organizations including Treasure Island - Adopt A Beach worked very hard to make our beach beautiful again! 🏖️🌴
We will be open for cabana rentals 9-5 behind the Island Girl Tiki Bar at the Island Inn Beach Resort, which is also open ( public parking next door and passes available for bar guest as well). And The Provident Oceana ( also open and near public parking). So come out and have a beach day grab a drink from the tiki bar and help support our local community! 🍻🍹

* The city still suggest take caution while walking around the sand and water.

I am happy to announce we will be soft opening today! (Almost cried typing that)
12-SUNSET starting Fr-Sundays.
After a long month of being closed due to damage by two back to back hurricanes, we will reopen with limited hours and food. We are still waiting on some equipment. But we have all our famous beach cocktails and frozen drinks you love and plenty of cold beer. The pool is still being worked on, it’s almost done (will remain closed for right now). BUT the BEACH IS OPEN and Island Girl Beach Rentals 🏖️will be open soon this weekend as well! When I tell you, you should have seen this place when we first opened the doors after hurricane Helene, you would never believe what it looked like. But after a lot of hard work and help from our wonderful customers and community, it almost looks just like we all remember. Thank you to all those who contributed to getting the Island Girl back! 🥰🌴🍻🍹
