These sweet people stopped in yesterday because they were CRAVING the Walnut Burger. Each one made it their own-some with goat cheese (our personal favorite), one with smoked gouda, another with swiss. Once the plates were delivered, it was all smiles. What do you put on your walnut burger?

You remember Bellwether? The late 90s Minneapolis alt-country songwriters reunite for an evening of songs and stories at the Trempealeau Hotel Saturday September 12th at 7pm.
Bellwether was a great folky pop group featuring songwriters Eric Luoma and Jimmy Peterson. (Joined by Jimmy Johnson on pedal steel.)
The band released five records, toured Europe, and was the opening act for the Jayhawks tour stateside.
The band and its songs have been described as authentic and winsome.
The boys are bringing it back with an engaging homegrown style that’s great to hear and play, -even after 25 years or so.
The hat will be passed. Suggested contribution is $10 (or more) per adult listener. No one will be turned away. This will be a real treat. How cool is this? Rooms are currently still available.

The Ex-Bombers are here September 24th from 7-10 outside (weather permitting) or 8-11 inside. These two are one of a kind, glorious to watch, filled with clever lyrics, great stories and their music rocks. They will throw in a cover from time to time, but everything they do is uniquely their own.

September includes two Thursday shows (Navy Pier, Chicago tomorrow and Coal Creek Brewing Company next Thursday) and a triumphant return to Bullquarian Brewhouse, LLC (proving that peer pressure totally works!) Finally making it back to Trempealeau Hotel, Restaurant and Saloon (this time with no car trouble!) And beautiful summer evenings at Artesia Brewing and Brokerage Brewing Company. Let's do this people!

Job openings!! Now that school has begun, The Hotel is in need of one or two dishwashers/runners and two servers. These are two separate jobs. Please let your friend, neighbor, kid, grandkid, niece, nephew or cousin know. Kitchen open hours range from week nights 4-8 and/or weekends 12-9. Shifts are usually 3-5 hours. Our restaurant is never open past 9pm. As a disher/runner, you deliver food orders to people who prefer to eat outside in the yard and take care of the dishes. You don't actually have to run. Servers help dining customers indoors and must be 18 years of age or older. We host many events and you get to be a part of it all. The view is sweet. People are kind. Your food is discounted. All you need is a positive attitude, interest in food, desire to work on a team, friendly demeanor and attention to detail. The job can go from slow to crazed in minutes, so you must be flexible. You may work 4-15 hours per week, depending on your availability and season. Please stop by The Hotel THIS Thursday from 3-8pm for an application or email [email protected]
