We offer a variety of clean, affordable accommodations including smaller single rooms, standard motel rooms, cottages and one larger family cottage. We are located just 1 mile from Mount Desert Island 8 miles from Acadia National Park and minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. Our property has barbecues, picnic tables, and games available for guest use and a fire pit.

I've been on the fence about tech giants like Google entering the Travel space, but I'm ready to say: I'm happy about it. Why? Airbnb, VRBO, Booking dot com and the other giants treat us hosts like p**p.

Sad to say because we bring them so many listings and sooooo much money but after tens of years of them promising to be good to hosts and respect us.... it's purely lip service.

With Google they just push the lead to your portal / website so you can get the lead directly. Do you have to pay them? Yes. But can you just get on with closing the lead and host a guest without the OTA in the middle... It's refreshing.

I'm proud to say that our companies, Princeville Vacation Rentals and www.iLoveKauai.com as well as Ohana Travel + Ohana Inns have our units listed on Google which will give us a ton more visibility than most companies out there and it feels good.

We are constantly working to stay on the front end of the trends and being listed on Google's new travel listings wasn't really quick or easy but we think it'll pay off for our properties... big time.

Thanks to the team for being willing to put in the work to manage these new channel partnerships. Without your steady hands and focus, it wouldn't ever get done. Surely I don't have the attention span for it!

We are working on sprucing up the logo a little bit. We wanted to add the awesome Rock Cairn that Sabrina and Michael built to the logo to honor their hard work and make the Moose a family of Moose since we call ourselves Ohana Inns (we also run the Open Hearth Inn next door and have for a few years).

Our Story

We are a small independently owned and operated business offering a variety of clean, affordable accommodations just 8 miles from Acadia National Park and minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. Our rooms range from small budget friendly rooms to standard motel rooms, family rooms, cottages, and one larger two bedroom cottage. We have outdoor spaces with lawn areas, picnic tables, grills, games and a fire pit where you can roast marshmallows at night. We are also pet friendly.

Michael and Sabrina Siino purchased the Isleview at the end of the 2019 season when the previous owners decided to retire, not knowing that Coronavirus would be just getting its start in other parts of the world. The 2020 season has had a challenging start but we are confident that the Isleview will continue on for many more seasons. We recognize that travel will never be the same, and that as a business serving the public it is more important than ever to reassure our guests that we take health and safety very seriously. Sanitation and cleanliness are a top focus. We have partnered with Ecolab who provides us with cleaning chemicals that are effective against Coronavirus. We are also increasing the cleaning time spent in each room, and assigning rooms strategically to maximize the space and time between guests when possible.

Being sustainable and supporting other local businesses are also a top considerations in our business decisions. We are continually looking for opportunities to decrease our environmental footprint and to source products and service locally when possible.
