Very sad today. For those of you who have enjoyed vacations at Acadia Sunrise Motel in the past, I have just been told my help is no longer needed because the new owner will not be running the motel at all this year. They will be canceling everyone's reservations, issuing refunds and only selling rooms on a monthly basis with year long leases. I suppose that helps the housing problem. But the sort of people they've put in there the past two days will ruin the property. There's nothing I can do. I tried. I'm sorry.

Since there's some advertising on Facebook as of today I need to share this. I want my repeat customers, who I feel are my friends and family, to know if all goes according to plan on November 1st, after 16 seasons and lots of renovations, I will no longer own the motel. I will still be in the neighborhood doing what I love about this business and I hope you have my business card with my cell phone number. I will miss all of you more than you know and I hope you will look me up.
